This handy reference chart helps you fine tune your color balance, which is especially helpful when you want to slightly modify your color output. See the step by step instructions following the chart for implementation details. COLOR BALANCE ASSIST SHEET 
Brief Descriptions of the Steps: STEP 1: C9200/9400 Series Only - Ensure the printer’s PROCESS MODE is set to TYPE 1 for optimum output STEP 2: Perform the standard COLOR BALANCE to where Circle A is closest in gray to one of the “00” dots in Circle B. STEP 3: Press ONLINE. STEP 1 for C9200 & C9400 Series Only If you have a C7200/7400 Series Color Printer, proceed to Step 2. Note Type 1 output ensures you are using the best toner density for optimized output on your C9200/C9400 Series Printer. 1 Press MENU key several times until COLOR MENU is displayed. 2 Press ITEM key several times until PROCESS MODE is displayed. 3 Press VALUE key to change the Process Type indicates TYPE 1 on the display and press SELECT for the * to appear 4 Return the printer to normal operation by pressing the ONLINE key before continuing. Note Color Balance needs to be done every time a drum is replaced in the printer. STEP 2 1 Press MENU key several times until COLOR MENU is displayed. 2 Press ITEM key once to display COLOR BALANCE. 3 Press SELECT and a Color Balance sheet will print. 4 Press SELECT again to set the Color Balance to its default settings (recommended). 5 Using the printed page as your Color Balance guide, compare the center Circle A as described in Step 2 above. Note Pressing SELECT without a value entered will place the settings back to the factory defaults. 6 Enter a VALUE ## per the Color Balance matrix to change the center Circle A closest to the gray dots marked “00” in Circle B, then press SELECT. (Every time you press SELECT in this process, a Color Balance sheet will print to compare the outputs. If needed, reference the Handy Reference Guide for further assistance in the Color Balance process.)
