What is PrintShop Mail?

As part of Oki Data's expanding line of print solution utilities, we now offer a software package entitled PrintShop Mail.

PrintShop Mail is a Variable Data Printing software solution which enables users to generate individualized or personalized mailings, brochures, tickets, post cards or any type of marketing materials in house with Oki Color LED printers such as C5000, C7000 & C9000 series.

The PrintShop Mail package includes an application software CD, which can also be downloaded from the supplier's web site for free, a USB Dongle which is a hardware key that needs to be inserted into a USB ports on the PC or MAC to enable the printing functions with the software.

PrintShop Mail Software Concept

Printshop Mail makes personalized printing quick and easy. It integrates database information into the layout of a document. You can create this document in any layout or design application, and use any database format.

By simply dragging and dropping database fields onto the document layout, PrintShop Mail creates a link between the database field and your document. PrintShop Mail gives you an instant preview and provides you with a powerful resource checking option.

The document with the link to the database is sent to the RIP only once. During the printing process, the variable information from the database is sent to the printer on the fly. The static portion of the job does not need to be re-ripped.

This greatly shortens the printing process and decreases your network congestion. PrintShop Mail then lets your PostScript printer print at or near rated speed, depending on RIP capability. This makes variable information printing an efficient one-step
