The GO button and/or JOB CANCEL button do not function properly on the product. As a result, the printer test pages may not print, however, the printer may function correctly from a PC. DIMM cover assembly RG5-5545-000CN Perform the following in the order provided: Push in the two tabs (callout 1) on the back of the I/O cover. Rotate the I/O cover away from the printer. Press and hold the DIMM cover release button. Figure 3: DIMM cover release button 
Slightly shift the cover forward, toward the front of the printer, then outward away from the printer. Figure 4: Remove DIMM cover 
Locate the retention clip that has snapped out of place. Figure 5: Retention clip out of place 
Use a small screwdriver, needle nose pliers, or other compatible object to push the top of the paddle into the retention clip. When performed correctly, there is a distinct snapping sound from the clip. WARNING: Retention clips are plastic and may potentially be damaged if not placed correctly. Damage to retention clips may render the Go or Job Cancel button non-functional. Figure 6: Reinserting retention clip 
Ensure the retention clips on the inside of the DIMM cover are locked into place. Figure 7: Correct placement of retention clips 
If this process is too difficult or does not resolve the issue, replace the DIMM cover and contact the HP Customer Care Center for your location. Simultaneously press and release the Go and Job Cancel buttons to print the self-test/configuration page and verify the repair was successful. © 2005 Hewlett-Packard
