Automatically Switching Between Paper Trays

How To:
Set the printer to automatically switch trays between different paper sizes. (The example below assumes there is letter size paper in tray 1 and legal size paper in the MP Tray.)

Action:
On the printer control panel, go to the Print Menu and set "MP TRAY USAGE" to "When Mismatch". Then set MEDIA CHECK to "Disable".
In the Media Menu, set TRAY 1 PAPERSIZE to "Letter" and MP TRAY PAPERSIZE to "Legal". On the PC, go to driver properties and set the paper source to "automatically select" in both the Printing Preferences and Printing Defaults (Advanced Tab) and also Disable Media Check (click on PAPER FEED OPTIONS button).

The printer will now automatically switch between letter size and legal size as needed.
