A factory reset was not performed after the replacement HDD was installed. The printer must be reset to Factory Defaults after installing a replacement HDD. Follow the process described below to reset the printer to Factory Defaults. 1. Enter the Admin Setup menu, once the Admin Setup menu has been successfully entered. 2. Press the Menus button until the Operator Panel changes: 3. Highlight the Factory Defaults setting and press the Enter button. 4. Ensure that Yes is selected in the above display (using the *). This can be achieved by pressing the Menu button and then pressing the Enter button to select Yes. The Operator Panel will change through the displays. This will take a few minutes. 5. Now press the Restart button or turn the printer off and then on. The Operator Panel will change through the displays. This will take a few minutes... The printer has now been successfully reset to Factory Defaults and the replacement HDD is ready for use. NOTE: The following customer data cannot be transferred from the original HDD to the replacement HDD. Hence the following data will be lost if a printer requires a replacement HDD to be installed. fonts form data (e.g. Freeform) macros Failure to reset to Factory Defaults after replacing a HDD may result in Fatal Error 0103 being displayed on the Scanner Operator Panel.
