When printing, specific base models (HP Color LaserJet 3700) or network models (HP Color LaserJet 3700n) can skip up to four pages of a print job when customer intervention (paper jam, tray refill) takes place during the print job. Early in the production life, base and network models were shipped with 64 MB of memory, but this memory was increased to 128 MB, thus eliminating this issue. To easily tell if printers were manufactured during the 64 MB memory time, the serial numbers would be in the range of CNDXXXXXXX or less, or JPDXXXXXXX or less. This issue has been addressed with the latest firmware version. Please go to http://www.hp.com/country/us/en/support.html?pageDisplay=support and download the latest firmware. First, try putting the paper jam recovery to ON versus AUTO. If this does not fix the issue, add an additional 64 MB of memory.
