Firmware upgrade 4650 to prevent 49.xxxx service errors Several firmware issues cause the printer to boot up to a 49.xxx service error. The most common error is the 49.5001 Service error. Any Color LaserJet 4650 with a Firmware version earlier then 7.001.2 should be proactively upgraded as soon as possible. If a printer gets into a unrecoverable 49.xxxx Service Error failure mode the HP Call Center needs to be contacted to correctly diagnose the issue as there are also other causes for 49.xxxx service errors to occur.
