MOUNT LAUREL, N.J., June 30, 2005 Oki DataAmericas, Inc., a leading provider of innovative products, services,and solutions marketed under the OKI(R) Printing Solutions brand,today announced its contract with the Western States Contracting Alliance (WSCA), a 15-state purchasing organization. The mission of WSCA is to implement cooperative multi-state contracting to achieve cost-effective and efficient acquisition of quality products and services and to promote interoperability and sharing among member states. Participating states include: Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Idaho, Minnesota, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Oregon, South Dakota, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. The contract with Oki Data was driven by Minnesota representatives and will continue through 2009. Authorized governmental entities in non-WSCA states may also benefit from approved contracts. "It is essential to our success in the public sector that we have the ability to offer OKI Printing Solutions products to all WSCA members," said William Imbesi, Director of Public Sector Sales. "Our products have always provided value to the public sector - this partnership takes that a step further by giving states volume discounted contracts on our products." This contract allows OKI Printing Solutions to sell into WSCA states' cities, counties, public schools, and institutions of higher education. OKI Printing Solutions offers products to the public sector enable the printing of secure, high-quality documents quickly, with reduced waste, and an exceptionally low total cost of ownership. Moreover, public sector customers have embraced Managed Services fromOKI Printing Solutions, which since its unveiling in Spring 2004 has offered comprehensive solutions to streamline document output and increase productivity by helping identify, improve and manage opportunities for efficiency in print document operations. With other WSCA contractors, states can work separately with a solution provider, but the order is still placed with the contractor. To streamline the process for states, Oki Data will rely on their solution providers to serve as the main point of contact for purchasing and delivery. "The mission of WSCA is to make purchasing easier by allowing states to share in the process and thereby benefit from it. By allowing solution providers to take a central role we will add more benefit to each state and further this goal," said Imbesi. About WSCA The Western States Contracting Alliance (WSCA) was formed in October 1993 by the state purchasing directors from fifteen NASPO western states. The primary purpose is to establish the means by which participating states may join together in cooperative multi-State contracting in order to achieve cost-effective and efficient acquisition of quality products and services. Cooperative purchases are developed by member states.
