Important Note: Currently all Oki GDI printers that support MacOS X, will only work USB under OS 10.4. All PostScript printers fully support MacOS 10.4 through either USB or Network connection. A new driver release with full support for OS 10.4 is currently under development. How do I install a color GDI Mac compatible printer in the Tiger OS via Oki USB? The installation procedure shown below assumes that the Oki C5150/C5200 installer has been run from either the CD or web download. If this has not been done please do so before following the procedure below. 1. Run the Printer Setup Utility by entering the Mac HDD -> Applications -> Utilities -> Printer Setup Utility 2. Click on the Add button 3. In the next window DO NOT select the Oki printer listed here as it will not work, click on the More Printers button
4. Click on the drop down arrow for connection type and select Oki USB.
5. Highlight the Oki Printer shown and click Add
The installation is now complete. |
