The Scrubber is an HP cleaning utility, bundled on the CD-Rom containing the printers software. The purpose of Scrubber is to remove the files from the failed installation and allow the printer to plug and play again. Please follow the steps listed below to use the Scrubber cleaning utility. Insert the CD-Rom in CD-Rom drive of your computer *(This will launch your hp installation options. Click Exit two times, to exit the installation and follow steps below to run the Scrubber) Click Start, select Run from the list. Click Browse, the window labeled Browse will appear. In the box labeled Look in" Click on the arrow pointing downward, locate your CD-Rom drive, this will be display a blue hp logo-followed by the printer series number, correlating to the printer model you own. Double click the Temp folder. Double click the tcescrbr folder Double click the Scrubber file and the following window will appear: 
Click OK and the following screen will appear: 
Click Delete Printer and the window below will appear: 
Once it completes the following screen will appear: Powering the printer off will be enough to comply with message below. Click Next and the following screen will appear: 
Click Now - your printer should be powered off, but still connected to the PC. 
Once the PC restarts, do not power the printer on. First run the software installation: NOTE: Wait for a prompt from the installation wizard. The message will ask you to please wait while it searches for new hardware. The installer will then return a message asking you to please make sure that the printer is on and connected to your computer. © 2005 Hewlett-Packard
