PC Magazine, a leading publication that delivers comparative reviews of computing products to technology buyers, and two independent test labs, BERTL and Buyers Laboratory Inc. (BLI), have given high marks to Lexmark’s newest 50 page-per-minute monochrome laser printer, the Lexmark T644. PC Magazine gave it four out of five stars, BERTL named the device a Five-Star “Exceptional” award winner, and BLI awarded the Lexmark T644 with its coveted “Highly Recommended” rating.

BERTL noted that the Five-Star status is “only given to devices that set the bar higher than the competition, creating a new benchmark that others will aspire to match.” It cited new ease of use features, such as the convenient USB port on the operator panel that allows for direct printing from a flash storage device, as innovative enhancements that set the Lexmark T644 apart in the marketplace. 

“The device delivers a very user-friendly walk-up experience, a selection of productivity enhancing tools, and greater automated capabilities for routine office tasks, further enhancing productivity and reducing opportunities for human error,” BERTL said in its review.

PC Magazine recommended the Lexmark T644n as a good choice for businesses reliant on the fast printing of documents. It praised the Lexmark T644n for exceptional performance, stating, “The T644n is, quite simply, the fastest legal- and letter-size monochrome laser we’ve seen in its price class.”

BLI tested the Lexmark T644dtn, which adds duplexing, network capabilities and additional paper capacity to the base model. BLI commented in particular on the unit’s reliability, stating, “The Lexmark T644dtn offers excellent reliability, completing its 125,000 impression test without experiencing a single misfeed and no service calls required.”
