Printing 2 Letter Pages On One Tabloid Page With The C9000 Series Printer (Booklet Printing)

When trying to print 2 Letter pages N-Up on a Tabloid sheet, the document gets shrunk or does not print in the correct orientation. The steps below document how to print 2 Letter sheets (8.5 by 11") on a single Tabloid sheet (11 x 17") using the PCL driver and Microsoft Word 2000.

1. In Microsoft Word click on File --> Page Setup

2. Click on the Margins tab, then check the box for "2 Pages Per Sheet"

3. Next click on the Paper Size tab and change the paper size to "Tabloid 11 x 17in", Orientation to "Landscape", and click on Apply To "Whole Document"

4. Click on the Paper Source tab, set the "First page and Other pages" Option to Tray 1, and select apply To "Whole Document"

5. Click OK

6. Click on File --> Print

7. Click on the Properties button for the C9000 PCL driver

8. Make sure the Paper Size is set to "Tabloid 11 x 17"

9. Click on the Layout Tab, Select Finishing Mode as "Standard / N-up" and 2-Sided printing as "Short Edge"

10. Click on Apply, then Ok

11. Click on Ok

The document should now print correctly.
