Horizontal smearing across the page with parts of graphics or text omitted

The printer will Intermittently print horizontal smears across the page with parts of the text or graphics omitted.

Cause:
This problem is generally caused by a defective Developer.

Resolution:
Replace the Developer unit, if this still does not correct the problem call an authorized service center.
