Experiencing "page too complex" errors along with blank pages. In addition, the internal self test and demo pages print fine. HP suggests updating the HP Color LaserJet 2600 print driver. Perform the following to check the driver version: From the Windows Desktop, click Start, and then Printers and Faxes. Right-click on the HP Color LaserJet 2600 listing or icon, and then click Properties. Click the Configure tab, and then click on the blue HP Logo icon. The About this driver screen will open. The most current print driver version should read 20050525.000. If you do not have the most current version, perform the following to download and extract the HP Color LaserJet 2600n print driver only: Click here to go to the software and download website, select Download Drivers and Software, type in LaserJet 2600n and click the arrows button. Select the software/driver language from the drop-down menu. Select your operating system. Scroll down to Driver, and then click on HP color LaserJet 2600n driver. On the HP color LaserJet 2600n driver dialog box, click the Download button. On the File Download screen, click Save. On the Save As screen, select Desktop from the drop-down menu, and then click the Save radio button. On the Download Complete screen, click Close. On your Windows desktop, locate and double-click on the clj2600HBwin98me2kxp2003-en.exe file, select I accept, and then Next. On the screen that indicates where the files will be extracted and saved to; note the location: C:Program FilesHewlett-PackardColor LaserJet 2600 Drivers On the Install Wizard screen, click Finish. Now the new print driver has been downloaded and extracted, perform the following to update the HP Color LaserJet 2600 print driver: From the Windows Desktop, click Start, and then Printers and Faxes. Right-click on the HP Color LaserJet 2600 listing or icon, and then click Properties. Click the Advanced tab, and then click New Driver. On the Add Printer Driver Wizard screen, click Next. On the Printer Driver Select screen, click Have Disk. On the Install From Disk screen, click Browse. Browse to the following: C:Program FilesHewlett-PackardColor LaserJet 2600 Drivers Click the CLJ2600.INF file, and then click Open. The Copy manufacturer's files from should read C:Program FilesHewlett-PackardColor LaserJet 2600 Drivers. Click OK. In the Print Drivers Selection screen under Printer, click to highlight the HP Color LaserJet 2600n, and then click Next. Click Finish to start the file update process. Click Apply and then OK to close and return to the Windows desktop. Perform the following to verify the software update version. From the Windows Desktop, click Start, and then Printers and Faxes. Right-click on the HP Color LaserJet 2600 listing or icon, and then click Properties. Click the Configure tab, and then click on the blue HP Logo icon. The About this driver screen will open. The software version should read 20050525.000. The print driver update is complete, click OK, and then OK to close the Printers windows. Test for the issue. If the issue persists, HP suggests updating to the latest firmware for the HP Color LaserJet 2600n product. However, to do this you must be able to print to the HP Color LaserJet 2600n product using the HP Color LaserJet 2600 print driver. The device has a flash-memory-based formatter that enables the firmware code to be updated in the event that new firmware is released for the device. Depending on the speed of the PC, the firmware update process may complete on the printer before the progress bar on the screen completes. NOTE: Once the update process has started, do not use the PC for other activity until the process is complete. In the "Save AS" dialogue window, select Desktop from the drop-down menu, and then click on the "Save" radio button. Turn the HP Color LaserJet 2600n product off and then back on. Wait for the display to come back to Ready. On your Windows desktop, click on the flash update utility file, clj2600nwinfwupdate.exe. Select I accept, and then Next. Use the drop-down arrow to select the HP Color Laser Jet 2600n driver. NOTE: If a different name has previously been assigned to the HP Color LaserJet 2600n, choose the name that represents the correct printer. Click the Start button in the dialog window. The progress bar will begin to move to the right indicating information being transferred. CAUTION: Do not power cycle the printer or the PC during this process or the printer may become unstable and or unusable without further attention from HP. The firmware update can take up to 5 minutes to complete. Please be patient. During the printer firmware update, the liquid crystal display (LCD) on the printer control panel will display "Printing Document" and will change to "Erasing". The LCD display will then change to Programming, after a short while, and the LCD will display complete. The Ready LED on the printer will start flashing. The printer will automatically power cycle to reboot and will make noises similar to power on. On the display of the PC, a smiling face will appear in the Update dialog box at the conclusion of the successful firmware download. Click Exit to close. Turn the HP Color LaserJet 2600n product off and then turn it on again. To verify the firmware update, perform the following to print a Configuration page: Press LEFT ARROW or RIGHT ARROW to select the Reports menu. Press the green SELECT (checkmark) button. Press LEFT ARROW or RIGHT ARROW to select Config Report. Press green SELECT button to print the Configuration Report page. The Self Test/Configuration page will print out. On the Self Test/Configuration page under Product Information, the Firmware Version should be 20050610.
