IMPORTANT NOTE: This will only occur after replacing the initial Starter Toner Cartridge that is shipped with the printer. When the Operator Panel LCD display reads "Order Toner" (Toner Low Warning), and a new Standard or High Capacity toner is installed, the "Order Toner" message does not clear. The Starter Toner Cartridge that ships with the printer does not have a physical toner detection mechanism inside as do ALL replacement consumable toners. This may cause the Order Toner message to remain, even after replacing with a new cartridge. Continue to use the printer until it displays a "Replace Toner" (Toner Empty Warning) message and will no longer print. At this time the printer must be powered off and back on, and the "Replace Toner" message will go away. The printer will go back to a normal on-line condition, and the Toner Percentage Remaining shown on the Menu Map will reset back to 100%. If the Printer will not reset after replacing the toner cartridge and the "Toner Empty" message is displayed, disconnect ALL data cables (USB or NIC) and power cycle the printer. This will eliminate any data that may be still trying to print which will cause the printer to not reset the toner counter.
