A 13.05.00 or 13.06.00 error occurs, which indicates a jam condition when printing envelopes or small media. The following table provides information about causes for the two error conditions. 13.05.00 Paper did not get to the fuser within the expected time. Customers printing on small media will likely encounter 13.05 jams - especially if using media with lengths from 160 to 170 mm (6.25 to 6.75 inches). A worn-out fuser can cause both 13.05.00 and 13.06.00 jams. Lightweight media that is acclimated in a high-humidity environment can curl excessively and cause 13.05.00 jams. Legal paper used when the job calls for envelope will result in a 13.05.00 or 13.06.00 jam instead of a size error. 13.06.00 Paper did not leave the fuser within the expected time. If printing to the rear (face-up) output bin, it is possible that the trailing edge of the paper is staying in the fuser and causing 13.06.00 jams. A worn-out fuser can cause both 13.05.00 and 13.06.00 jams. Media that is too stiff to be delivered to the top (face-down) output bin could cause 13.06.00 jams. Legal paper used when the job calls for envelope will result in a 13.05.00 or 06.00 jam instead of a size error. The HP LaserJet 4200 and 4300 series printers support an envelope size that allows them to increase throughput for envelopes. (The HP LaserJet 4100 printer and earlier models always used Universal size for envelopes from the multipurpose tray, which would pick at Legal size rate and print slower.) SOLUTION: Have the customer change to the correct envelope size media. If the customer wants to print envelope image on a legal page, remove the envelope size from the job or tray setting.
