096-02 Error Message Appears on the Printer Display Panel

Error message 096-02 appears on the Display panel of the printer, with a Finisher installed.

The stacker tray has not been installed on the Finisher, or the stacker tray may be misaligned.

Install stacker, it must be fully installed for the Finisher to complete the initialization and operate correctly.

1. Position the stacker tray on the back of the
finisher with the hooks engaged and the pins aligned.

2. Make sure the lever on the finisher is
positioned above the stacker tray.

3. Attach the stacker tray with four screws. Note that there are alignment pins on each side, next to the screws, to help insure the tray is in the correct position.

Rebooting the printer (using the shutdown button only) may not clear error message (096-02), The printer will need to be fully powered off and turned back on, using the on/off switch, in order to clear error message (096-02).
