Resetting the B6100 to Factory Defaults

Most network settings for the B6100 are stored in NVRAM. You can reset the NIC card to factory defaults through the WebAdmin. If you know the WebAdmin user and password follow procedure 1. If you have forgotten the user and password, follow procedure 2.

Procedure 1: Known user name and password: 1. Web into the B6100.

2. Go to the Maintenance tab.

3. Select the factory defaults hyperlink.

4. Put a check mark in the box to reset the NIC card to factory defaults.

5. A script box will pop up asking for the user and password. Type these in and hit ok. All settings will go back to default including the WebAdmin user and password defaults:

User = admin
password = OkiLAN (Both are case sensitive)

Procedure 2: Do not know the user name and password:

1. Press and hold CANCEL+MENU+PREVIOUS on the OP panel while powering on the printer.

2. You will then be asked to initialize NVRAM. Press select to do this. This resets the user back to the default: admin. It does not reset the password.

3. To get the password, press and hold STATUS+RETURN while powering on the printer. A display will show on the OP panel with the current password. Write the password down, then press the MENU button to put the printer back online.

4. Now Web into the B6100.

5. Go to the Maintenance tab.

6. Select the factory defaults hyperlink.

7. Put a check mark in the box to reset the NIC card to factory defaults.

8. A script box will pop up asking for the user and password. The user will be: admin, but the password will be the one found in the OP panel. Once you have reset to factory defaults the password will revert back to: OkiLAN.
