HP LaserJet 2200 Series Printer When the retention feature in the rear paper adjust is worn, some of the 250-sheet paper trays on the HP LaserJet 2200 series printers are experiencing no-pick paper jams. If the paper pushes back, the adjuster is not in the correct position and no-pick paper jams will occur. Verify that the back sheet adjuster pushes back with slight pressure without depressing the blue retention grip. If it does slide, replace the paper tray with a new tray part number R75-5001-000CN. If the back sheet adjuster does not slide, the paper tray is good and should not be replaced. Figure1: 250-sheet paper tray
Additional flashing left on during the manufacturing of the base tray causes the back sheet adjuster to bow and not remain in place once the paper size has been selected. If the paper pushes back this adjuster, the paper is not in the correct position to be properly picked from the tray, thereby causing no-pick issues. © 2005 Hewlett-Packard
