HP Color LaserJet 9500 Series Printer - Reinitialize a hard disk using the control panel Turn the printer off and then on. Press and hold PAUSE/RESUME on the control panel during the memory count. Hold PAUSE/RESUME down until all three error lights illuminate steadily. Press (Left Arrow) until INITIALIZE DISKS appears on the display panel. Press the (green select) button on the control panel. The printer begins initializing the disk (this might take a moment). The control panel displays the HP event logo and eventually displays READY. Reinitialize a hard disk using PJL commands Create the following PJL command in MS-DOS EDIT:Esc E Esc%-12345X@PJL FSINIT VOLUME = "1:" Copy this to the printer using the DOS command:copy/b NOTE: For this command to take effect, the printer must be turned off and on after sending the command. NOTE: Both of the above methods set the hard disk to the required state of "VOLUME 0." © 2005 Hewlett-Packard
