Why will my printer not print on both sides of the paper (Duplex)? Assuming the printer has the built-in duplexer, and has the capability to print on both sides, the media setting can prevent the printer from Duplexing: For Windows 9.x: 1.Check the Media settings in the print driver, Under the Setup tab make sure the media weight is not set to Ultra Heavy. 2.Check the Media setting on the printer, Under the Media Menu make sure that the media type is not set to Ultra Heavy. For Windows 2k and XP: 1. Check the Media setting in the print driver, Under the General tab > Printing Preferences > Paper/Quality tab > Advanced > Printer features > Media type make sure that the media setting is NOT Ultra Heavy. 2. Check the Media setting on the printer, Under the Media Menu make sure that the media type is NOT set too Ultra Heavy.
